Manoj: - Will you like to have a cigarette?
Dulal: - No, no, I don’t smoke. I only drink, but not smoke.
Chaitanya: - Are you working somewhere?
Dulal: - I used to work in a scam-hit company. Due to those frauds, too much management restructuring took place. As you can understand, nowadays, restructuring has become the corporate synonym of lay-offs.
Paul: - in our training class, two girls are really hot and beautiful, boss. They told their name, but I forgot.
Arindam: - Aha, why do you always forget the names of beautiful girls? The tall girl with black T-Shirt and Blue Jeans is Sarita and other one is Rinky.
Suhash: - That girl Rinky is looking very sweet in sky-blue colored salwar. She is of medium height, but still very sweet and sober. This Sarita is totally a carbon copy of Rakhi Sawant. She behaves like a lady Tom Boy, he he he.
Paul: - But, she is damn hot, boss, simply sizzling like Bipasha Basu.
Arindam: - Saaley, college mein ek permanent girlfriend hain, aur idhaar bhi line maar raha hain…beta, kuch ladkiyan hum logon ke liye bhi chorh diya karo…
Chaitanya: - Hey guys, come on, let us go back to the class. We have already taken 15 minutes in drinking tea and smoking cigarettes.

Nilkamal: - See, Chaitanya, as you are from Oracle Financials, so let me tell you very frankly the basic difference between SAP and Oracle. Oracle has created its ERP tool based on only the Finance Department, whereas SAP has not spared a single department of an organization. SAP tools are used in various departments of an organization and the tools are named according to their use also. For example, MM means Materials Management, SD means Sales & Distribution, CRM means Customer Relationship Management and etc. We will come in details to those things. But, in your first class, just remember that if SAP FICO is a Pacific Ocean, then Oracle Financials is only the Bay of Bengal.
Sarita: - Sir, what is the full form of SAP?
Nilkamal: - The full form of SAP is SYSTEM APPLICATION PRODUCT. This ERP tool is created by a German Company, SAP AG.
Rinky: - What is meant by AG, Sir?
Nilkamal: - It is a naming convention for any German company. Say for any US company, it is INC. and for any Indian company, it is Private Ltd. Like that only, for any German company, it is AG. Now, let me tell you the course that we will cover in this SAP FICO module. Here FICO is split into two words, FI and CO. FI stands for Financial Accounting and CO stands for Cost Controlling. In FI, we will cover the sub topics of General Ledger, Accounts Payable (Shares & Reserves), Accounts Receivables (Taxes, Payment Terms & Commitments), Asset Accounting (Fixed Assets, Schedule VI, Depreciation and Asset Implementation). In CO, we will cover the sub topics of Cost Element Accounting, Cost Centers Accounting (Variance Analysis), Profit Centers Accounting (Consolidated P&L Accounts), Profitability Analysis (Segmentation, Penetration), Internal Orders (Controlling Cost at lowest level).
Dulal: - but, Sir, after learning about this SAP FICO, what kind of job role will we get in a company?
Nilkamal: - You will be either working as a Technical Consultant or as a Functional Consultant. Now, an Engineering Graduate can work as a Technical Consultant, where he has to do coding or programming with ABAP language (LSMW, BDC, IDOC, Routines) or Database Administration with BASIS language. MBA Finance students is bound to work as Functional Consultant, where he will be responsible for designing the respective modules in accordance to the needs and structure of an organization. That is, he will prepare a blue-print of the module. These functional consultant need to be present at the client’s place to understand the requirement specifications. Always remember that 1 SAP User License gives the privilege to 10 users only. Ok, just come back, after having your lunch.
